THT uses the power of culture to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities.



We were formed by a group of persons with disabilities who were passionate about drama, theatre, traditional dance and sport and their ability to help people to see those with disabilities in a new and positive light.



As well as performing across Rwanda we encourage the participation of persons with disabilities in sporting and cultural activities and have their own seven-a-side football and sitting volleyball teams.



THT currently has 86 members, of all types of impairments. THT members are based in Nyarugenge, Kicukiro, Gasabo, Gakenke, Muhanga, Ruhango, Nyaraguru, Ngororero and Gicumbi.



THT is a Non-Government Organization, legally registered for the first time in 2009 and the registration has been renewed in 2012 n029/11. THT is one of the 8 organizations that have came together to create the umbrella organization – National Union of Disabilities Organisations Rwanda (NUDOR).
