Depuis cinq saisons, je porte mon regard sur la lutte sénégalaise qui ne saurait laisser indifférent le photographe que je suis, surtout si j'ai pour mission d'être la mémoire visuelle de mon temps et d'apporter ma modeste contribution à la promotion de ce sport.
Mon regard n'est pas critique. Je veux juste poser mon objectif sur ce que l'œil ne voit pas, sur la pureté d'un geste, le plastique de ces champions, sur l'expression d'un regard qui m'a parlé, et la gestuelle de ces corps en transe. Qui s'enlacent, se contorsionnent et finissent sur le sable. Enfin la délivrance pour ces milliers de supporters venus acclamer leur champion.
Je ne peux manquer de penser que ce livre sera offert à feu El Hadj Moustapha Ndiaye, ancien commentateur de l'émission de lutte, "Sport de chez nous" que diffusait la télévision sénégalaise et qui nous a fait découvrir ces univers bien mystérieux.

Since five seasons, I have been looking at the Senegalese wrestling, which could not leave the photographer I am indifferent, especially if my duty is to be the visual memory of my time and to make my modest contribution to the promotion of this sport
My glance is not critical. I just want, to put my lens on those that the eye does not see, on the purity of a gesture, the figure of these champions, on the expression of a glance that spoke to me, and the body movements of these bodies in trance. Which embrace each other, contort and finish on the sand. Finally, the relief for these thousands of supporters who came to applaud their champion.
I cannot help to think that this book will be offered to the late El Hadj Moustapha Ndiaye, the former commentator on sportscaster, "Sport de chez nous" ("Sports from our home") which was broadcasted on national television and allow for many of us to discover these very mysterious universes.
